Victoria's paper in Nature Communications

An article on understanding catalytic lignin pyrolysis by photoelectron photoion coincidence (PEPICO) spectroscopy is accepted for publication in Nature Communications. Congratulations to the authors Patrick Hemberger, Victoria Custodis, Andras Bodi and Thomas Gerber.

Understanding the mechanism of catalytic lignin pyrolysis is a crucial step in biomass conversion into renewable chemicals and fuels. With highly selective and sensitive photoelectron photoion coincidence (PEPICO) spectroscopy we were able to identify new and crucial intermediates in the decomposition of guaiacol and catechol into phenol and benzene! The Paper “Understanding Reaction Mechanisms in Heterogeneously Catalyzed Reactions: Disentangling Crucial Reactions in Catalytic Fast Pyrolysis” is accepted for publication in Nature Communications . We congratulate the authors Patrick Hemberger, Victoria Custodis, Andras Bodi and Thomas Gerber in this successful collaboration.
